If the local environment fails it, the manuscript does not fail with it.
That does not exclude South African publication. The memoir may still be published in South Africa if a local publisher provides clear confirmed assurance, demonstrates the will to stand firm, and shows that truth will not be surrendered to pressure once the real test comes.
