FILM, TELEVISION, DOCUMENTARY & PUBLISHING RIGHTS

Two completed nonfiction manuscripts. One continuing true-life property. One controlled documentary archive.

INSIDER ACCOUNT is the human story: an ordinary working life drawn into private political proximity, money, competing interests, state structures, witness protection, institutional conflict and prison. SO I WROTE AGAIN returns to that history through the surviving paper — communications, court material, official records, investigative history, prosecutorial decisions, competing versions and the author’s own corrections.

Publishing, literary representation, film, television, premium limited-series, documentary, docuseries, international, translation, audio and professional archive enquiries are open to bona fide industry professionals.

The commercial proposition

The property is not being offered as a slogan. The first book supplies the human arc. The second supplies a documentary counterpoint. The controlled archive supplies a route for professional verification and due diligence.

Two Complete Manuscripts Two distinct books with complementary commercial functions.
Screen Potential Film, television and premium limited-series pathways.
Documentary Archive A controlled verification layer beyond first-person memory.
International Rights Publishing, translation, audio and cross-border enquiries open.
Acquisition pathways

ONE PROPERTY. MULTIPLE PROFESSIONAL ROUTES.

Different buyers need different information. The material is structured so that a producer, documentary team, publisher, agent or international rights professional can evaluate the part of the property relevant to them without requiring prior knowledge of South African politics.

Screen adaptation

Film & Television

Enquiries open

The screen engine is human before it is political. An ordinary working man becomes useful to powerful people, gains private access, becomes entangled in competing interests, enters state processes, disappears into witness protection, later spends more than two years in prison awaiting trial in matters that ultimately do not produce convictions, and emerges determined to reconstruct the record.

The material supports a feature, premium limited series or other scripted adaptation built around proximity to power, loyalty, dependence, fear, institutional authority, identity, confinement and survival. The South African setting is specific; the dramatic questions are universal.

Factual screen

Documentary & Docuseries

Enquiries open

SO I WROTE AGAIN changes the evidentiary proposition. The second book is built by placing memory beside paper: emails, messages, official correspondence, court material, investigative records, prosecutorial decisions, adverse findings, competing versions and later institutional responses.

The documentary opportunity is not dependent on treating the author as infallible. The material expressly distinguishes memory, allegation, denial, inference and established record. That creates a stronger factual-development model: test the narrator, test the institutions, test the documents and preserve what does not yet have an answer.

Literary rights

Publishing & Representation

Two books complete

INSIDER ACCOUNT and SO I WROTE AGAIN are complete English-language nonfiction manuscripts with distinct narrative functions inside one continuing series.

Professional enquiries are invited from publishers, literary agents, rights agents and other qualified representatives concerning publication, representation, subsidiary rights and appropriate commercial development. Book Three is forthcoming and will continue the contemporary documentary record rather than rewrite unresolved events as settled history.

Foreign & subsidiary rights

International & Translation

International enquiries open

The books are unmistakably South African, but the central themes travel: proximity to power, loyalty, money, fear, institutional trust, witness protection, prosecution, imprisonment, reputation, competing narratives and the struggle to preserve a record when more powerful actors control the public version.

Enquiries are open for territorial publishing, translation, international English-language publication and related subsidiary-rights opportunities. Professional evaluation materials can be supplied under controlled conditions.

Spoken-word development

Audio & Narrative Podcast

Enquiries open

The first-person voice, long chronology and document-versus-memory structure can support audiobook, narrative audio and carefully developed podcast formats.

The strongest audio approach would preserve the same evidentiary discipline as the books: the author’s recollection remains his recollection; documents are described for what they actually establish; adverse versions remain visible; unresolved matters are not converted into verdicts for dramatic effect.

Due diligence & research

Archive & Professional Research

Controlled access

The Exposé archive is a professional verification layer, not a public document dump. It may include contemporaneous communications, official correspondence, court material, preserved reporting, investigative references and other records relevant to the books and their commercial development.

Access depends on the identity and purpose of the requester, the nature of the material, privacy and safety considerations, applicable law, live proceedings and any existing legal restrictions. Not every record is suitable for public release.

The adaptation spine

THE STORY DOES NOT REQUIRE A VIEWER TO UNDERSTAND SOUTH AFRICAN POLITICS BEFORE IT STARTS.

The dramatic movement is immediately legible: an ordinary person becomes useful, access deepens, power becomes personal, institutions enter the story, protection becomes confinement, prison changes the protagonist, and survival becomes documentary reconstruction.

01

Ordinary Life

The story begins with work, family, money and practical usefulness — not with a political office, a public campaign or a pre-existing plan to become a whistleblower.

The setting is South African. The human engine is universal.
The two-book advantage

BOOK ONE GIVES THE CHARACTER ARC. BOOK TWO GIVES THE DOCUMENTARY COUNTERPOINT.

The books are deliberately not interchangeable. Their difference expands rather than fragments the underlying rights property.

INSIDER ACCOUNT

The human record. The reader experiences proximity, dependence, fear, witness protection, institutional conflict and imprisonment through the person living it.

SO I WROTE AGAIN

The documentary record. The same world is reopened through dates, communications, pleadings, official correspondence, investigative material, denials, adverse findings and contradictions.

THE CONTINUING SERIES

The record remains live. Book Three is forthcoming and will move further into later criminal-justice developments and the public record without pretending unresolved processes are already decided.

One protagonist. Two completed books. Two complementary methods of telling the same larger history. That structure supports both scripted adaptation and factual-screen development without requiring either format to imitate the other.
Why the property travels

INTERNATIONALLY LEGIBLE. UNMISTAKABLY SOUTH AFRICAN.

The property does not depend on a foreign audience already knowing the names, parties or institutions involved. The world is specific; the emotional and institutional questions are not.

Proximity to Power

What happens when an ordinary person gets close enough to powerful people that access begins changing the course of his life?

Trust & Dependence

How quickly can usefulness, financial need, loyalty and admiration become dependence inside an unequal relationship?

State Power

What does institutional protection feel like from inside — and what happens when the same citizen later experiences the State in a radically different role?

Who Owns the Story?

When newspapers, lawyers, courts, prosecutors and institutions have all described one man, what happens when he preserves his own record and places it beside theirs?

Verification & due diligence

THE ARCHIVE IS PART OF THE COMMERCIAL VALUE — BUT IT IS NOT A PUBLIC DUMP.

A serious adaptation or publishing conversation eventually reaches the same question: what exists beyond the narrator’s memory? Exposé preserves a controlled record so that professional development can move from pitch to verification.

Contemporaneous Material Emails, messages and other communications created while parts of the history were unfolding.
Official Material Government, policing, prosecutorial, witness-protection and other institutional records where lawfully available.
Court & Legal Record Pleadings, orders, applications, Sheriff returns and competing formal versions where relevant to the narrative.
Adverse Material Preserved Criticism, denials, non-prosecution decisions and evidence that complicates the author’s own preferred interpretation remain part of the record.
The archive exists to test the story, not merely to decorate it.
Controlled access

THE COMPLETE MANUSCRIPTS EXIST HERE. THEY ARE DELIBERATELY NOT OPEN WEB PAGES.

The public site is designed for discovery and professional evaluation. The full books are maintained separately in restricted reading rooms because the manuscripts contain sensitive personal, legal, institutional and documentary material.

What is public

Book identity, commercial positioning, narrative arc, rights status, selected public context, the distinction between the two manuscripts and enough information for a serious professional to decide whether further evaluation is warranted.

What remains controlled

The complete manuscripts, selected archive material and any record whose unrestricted release could create privacy, safety, legal-process or evidentiary problems. No manuscript password is embedded in this public page source.

Professional access may be considered for

  • Publishers, literary agents and recognised rights representatives.
  • Film, television and premium-series producers or production companies.
  • Documentary and docuseries producers, broadcasters and factual-content teams.
  • Studios, streamers, distributors and professional development executives.
  • Qualified legal, editorial, due-diligence or research professionals acting in connection with a bona fide commercial enquiry.
ACCESS
Access is selective, not automatic.

A request should identify the requester, company or professional capacity, intended purpose, territory and rights category. Additional confidentiality or access conditions may apply depending on the material requested.

Evidence discipline

THE PROPERTY IS STRONGER WHEN IT DOES NOT PRETEND EVERY QUESTION IS ALREADY ANSWERED.

Serious buyers need a property that can survive due diligence. The books therefore preserve the distinction between lived experience, documentary fact, allegation, denial, inference, formal decision and unresolved process.

No borrowed verdicts

A commission, court case, investigation or public controversy is not used as a substitute for an actual finding. Where a process remains open, it remains open on the page.

Competing versions stay visible

Denials, adverse credibility findings, prosecutorial decisions and other material that may weaken the author’s position are not silently removed from the documentary story.

The document controls the claim

Where a record proves less than the author once believed, the claim is narrowed. Where a record contradicts memory, the contradiction becomes part of the story rather than something to conceal.

Professional enquiry

IF YOU ARE EVALUATING THE PROPERTY, SAY WHAT YOU NEED.

A useful first approach is specific. Identify who you are, what company or professional role you represent, the territory, the rights category, and the materials you require for an initial evaluation.
